Bum Seating (Pty) Ltd operates bumseating.co.za. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the shipping and return terms below. These terms are designed to give customers clear information about delivery, returns, refunds and order handling.
Delivery Partners
Bum Seating uses trusted delivery partners to ship orders across South Africa.
Our delivery partners may include:
Campos Transport for selected routes, bulky goods and scheduled road freight
Bob Go to book courier services across South Africa
Other courier partners depending on destination, parcel size, weight and service availability
The courier used for your order may vary depending on your location, the size of the order and the available delivery service. Customers may request a preferred courier, but we cannot guarantee a specific carrier for every shipment.
Stock Availability
All orders are subject to stock availability. We do our best to keep stock levels accurate, but stock differences may sometimes occur.
If we cannot fulfil your full order at the time of purchase, we may:
Dispatch the available items
Contact you regarding the unavailable item
Offer the option to wait for the item
Offer a refund for the unavailable item
Shipping Fees
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, order size, dimensions, weight and service level.
Shipping fees are paid with your order and represent the final delivery cost payable by the customer.
Delivery Timeframes in South Africa
Orders are usually dispatched within 2–4 business days after payment has cleared.
Typical delivery time for in-stock items is 2–7 business days from dispatch, depending on your location and courier service availability.
Outlying areas, remote locations, large orders and bulky freight may take longer. Larger or palletised orders sent with scheduled transport may require additional delivery time.
Our warehouse operates Monday to Friday during standard business hours, excluding South African public holidays.

International Deliveries
International delivery may be available on request or where offered at checkout.
International transit times generally range from 7–30 days, depending on the destination, courier service and customs process.
Import duties, taxes and clearance fees may be payable when the goods arrive in the destination country. These charges are the customer’s responsibility.
Delivery Address Changes
We can amend a delivery address before an order has been dispatched.
Once an order has been dispatched, address changes cannot be guaranteed and may result in additional costs.
P.O. Boxes and Restricted Areas
Couriers usually require a physical street address for delivery.
We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
If your delivery address is in a restricted or difficult-to-access area, please contact us before placing your order so we can advise where possible.
Delivery Delays
Delivery delays can happen due to courier network issues, weather, public holidays, remote delivery areas, customs delays or other factors outside our control.
If your delivery takes longer than the expected timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate with the assigned courier or transport provider.
Failed Delivery and Re-Delivery
If delivery fails because of an incorrect address, restricted access, or no one being available to receive the order, re-delivery fees may apply.
If a parcel is returned to us after repeated failed delivery attempts, we may refund the goods value less shipping and return costs, or re-ship the order at the customer’s cost.
Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information where available.
Tracking may be provided by Bob Go, the assigned courier or Campos Transport, depending on the delivery method used for your order.
Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please reject the delivery where possible and notify us immediately.
If you only discover the damage after delivery, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photos of the packaging and damaged item.
Please keep the original packaging, as it may be required for the courier claim process.
Lost Parcels
If a parcel is confirmed as lost in transit, Bum Seating will assist with the courier investigation.
A refund or replacement will be arranged once the carrier confirms the loss through its claim process.
Returns
Change-of-Mind Returns
We accept change-of-mind returns if the return is requested within 30 days of receiving the order.
To qualify, the item must be:
Unused
In its original packaging
In resellable condition
Returned with all parts and accessories
Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility and must be arranged by the customer.
Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will issue a refund as store credit for the value of the goods only.
Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Warranty Returns
We honour valid warranty claims submitted within 90 days of receipt of the item.
Customers may be asked to pre-pay return shipping. If the warranty claim is approved, reasonable return shipping costs may be reimbursed.
Once the warranty return has been received, claims are usually processed within 7 business days.
If the claim is approved, customers may choose one of the following options, subject to availability:
Refund to the original payment method
Refund as store credit
Replacement item
Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund of the goods and shipping paid.
If the order has already been dispatched, the return process will apply.
VAT, Duties and Taxes
Prices shown on our website are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable.
For international shipments, import duties, taxes and clearance fees may apply. These charges are payable by the customer.
If a customer refuses to pay international import charges and the goods are returned to us, return costs may be deducted from the refund. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Insurance and Risk
Shipments are covered according to the insurance limits and terms of the allocated courier or transport provider.
Risk in the goods passes to the customer once the order has been delivered to the address provided, or collected by the customer or their appointed agent, subject to applicable consumer laws.
